Our Story
Lori Reece is owner and full-time manager of RE/MAX Whatcom County and RE/MAX Gateway, and Designated Broker for RE/MAX Whatcom County. Lori brings her expert knowledge and wisdom to the table. There isn't a scenario in her real estate career that Lori hasn't encountered. First licensed in 1980 after earning a degree in Business Administration from Western Washington University, Lori and Dean Reece started RE/MAX Whatcom County in June 1991. Since then, it has grown to be the largest RE/MAX real estate office north of Seattle with 6 offices in Bellingham, Anacortes, Sudden Valley, Lynden, Point Roberts, and our newest office in Seattle. There are now over 140 RE/MAX Professionals and administrative staff listing and selling residential and commercial real estate all over the northwest. Lori is constantly coming up with new and innovative ways to train and educate her new and upcoming agents. Our brokers are the most professional and experienced around!

Michael’s journey in real estate began with his role as Director of Marketing and Technology for RE/MAX, a position he has held since 2013. In this role, he developed strong skills in brand management, advertising, promotions, website development, and public relations, as well as expertise in implementing company systems and resources. His extensive experience includes educating new and existing agents on corporate resources, marketing systems, and IT to support their success.
Michael holds a combined degree in Economics and Political Science from Western Washington University’s College of Business & Economics, along with a background in Paralegal Studies. This academic foundation, enhanced by continuing real estate education and designations, gives him a comprehensive understanding of real estate law, market dynamics, and investment principles.
Fluent in Ukrainian and Russian, Michael serves a diverse clientele and is a committed member of the Whatcom County Association of Realtors. He is the chair for the association's Young Professionals Network, and volunteers on the association’s Golf Tournament Committee, which supports Habitat for Humanity.
As a Bellingham homeowner with an investment property in Lynden, Michael has hands-on knowledge of the local market, property valuation, and home renovation. His clients appreciate his proactive approach, deep market insight, and dedication to helping them achieve their real estate goals.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys an active lifestyle filled with traveling, snowboarding, rock climbing, and wakeboarding, alongside cherished time with family and friends.
